AlaskaOne 25th Anniversary Edition Poster

A distinguished panel of artists and experts selected a painting titled Alaskan Wild Iris by Fairbanks artist Cynthia West Hanson.

Hanson is a fifth-generation Alaskan artist. While painting during the winter, she uses glimmers of colors and shapes collected during the long hours of summer light as her inspiration. The large fluid petals come together on the canvas creating oversized blooms and reflections of warmer days.

This stunning oil on canvas painting was chosen from nearly 30 submissions from artists throughout the state. Thank you to the all the Alaskan artists who submitted work and the poster selection committee:
